LTC Dennis M. Johnson,  48, of Port Edwards, WI, was killed Sep. 11, 2001, when hijacked American Airlines flight 77 was crashed into the Pentagon during the September 11 terrorist attack on America. Johnson was assigned to the Army staff at the Pentagon.

SGT Nickolas A. Mueller

SGT Nickolas A. Mueller, 26, of Little Chute, WI, died Oct. 26, 2009 of wounds suffered when the MH-47 helicopter he was aboard crashed in Darreh-ye Bum, Afghanistan. He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 160th Special Operations Regiment (Airborne), Hunter Army Airfield, GA.

SSG Todd R. Cornell

 

SSG Todd R. Cornell,  38 years old of  West Bend, WI.  died Nov. 9, 2004,  in Fallujah, Iraq.  When acting in an advisory support capacity and his Iraqi unit came under attack by enemy forces using small arms fire. Cornell was assigned to the Army Reserve’s 1st Battalion, 339th Infantry Regiment, Fraser, MI – home unit is 2nd Battalion, 274th Regiment, 84th Division of Fond Du Lac, WI.

The NCOA located at Ft. McCoy, WI. is named in his honor.  The SSG Todd R. Cornell  NCO Academy
